TOKYO, March 17, 2025 — INFORICH INC. has officially installed its “ChargeSPOT” mobile battery sharing service at JR Meguro Station, utilizing available space around ticket machines to enhance passenger convenience.
New Installation Maximizes Space Efficiency
The ticket machine-type “ChargeSPOT” follows a successful trial of stand-type units that began at the station on August 7, 2024. This new design takes advantage of unused space around existing ticket machines without disrupting passenger flow.
Strategic Placement Serves Commuter Needs
“JR Meguro Station is a key transit point for commuters and visitors alike,” said Hironori Akiyama, President and CEO of INFORICH. “These charging stations address a critical need while making smart use of limited space.”
Installation Details
Two units have been installed, each featuring 20 charging ports. The units are located outside the central ticket gate and the Tokyu connection ticket gate.
앞으로의 전망
INFORICH plans to continue expanding the “ChargeSPOT” service throughout Tokyo and beyond, aiming to create reliable charging infrastructure in high-traffic areas.
The service represents an innovative approach to solving the increasingly common problem of battery anxiety among urban commuters and travelers.
